Frank Jansen , biografie
Frank was born in Steenbergen in 1964, he is married and has 2 children.
Country music has always been his great passion because he grew up with the music.
Frank is a great fan of Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Merle Haggard, Alan Jackson and Dwight Yoakam.

Up to 1994 music was Franks hobby, from then on Frank took some guitar lessons and gave all his time to it, so he can mean something in the country scene.
That same year Frank made a tape which got in the hands of Bob Grady Records in Calhoun, Georgia.

First 2 singles were made, which both stood at the number one position for three months in the "Europe Top 100 Varity Indie Charts".
These results took Frank to the U.S. to record his first album, "You're a phonecall I need to make", with good musicians like John Hughey ( steeler of Vince Gill ), Mike Baker and David Russel.

This album was very succesfull and was chosen for album of the year in his native country ( Holland ) he got a Gram Award in 1998 and 4 nominees by the European C.M.A.

Besides several prices and tv-shows, Frank has toured in England 5 years in a row now and played at festivals in Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Spain and France.

He has been on stage with BR5-49, Rhonda Vincent, Dale Watson, Heather Myles, Gail Davis, Mike Bella and many more.

In 1999 his second album "My way or the highway" was released, again on Bob Grady Records.
April 2000 was "If you ever need a fool" awarded with the Dutch Country Song of the Year ( Gram Award ), a song of the album "My way or the highway", a song written by Frank himself.
In july 2000 the same album was chosen for album of the year by the European C.M.A.


In may 2002 his third album "Lolene" is released, this time on Country Discovery Records, run by Mike Headrick in Tennessee, U.S.



May 2005 a new album is released, the album: Frank Jansen sings the hits of Marty Robbins.
Also in May 2005 Frank has his own band, Frank Jansen and the Band.
